Situation
You are in a normal stance (facing 12:00H) with both of your arms at your side (toward 6:00V), while the opponent (at 12:00H) (facing 6:00H) applies a direct left hand grab (toward 6:00H) to your right lapel area.
1)
Raise of your left hand (toward 1:30V) to pin, palm toward you (toward 4:30V), the opponent’s left hand to your body, while simultaneously delivering a right thrusting ball kick (toward 12:00H) to the opponent’s left knee (major) with a right thrusting inward vertical forearm strike (toward 9:00H), palm facing you (toward 6:00H) to the outside of opponent’s left forearm (minor).
Note
The foot and hand strikes should make contact at the same time, but slightly after the pin is applied to the opponent’s left hand.
Result
The opponent's entire lower body should be forced slightly backward (toward 12:00H), but prevented from moving very much by the force of the forearm strike and pin to the left hand.
2a)
Immediately, raise your right arm straight up (toward 12:00V), while simultaneously “floating” your stance upward (toward 12:00V), with the retraction of your right foot (toward 6:00H), to a vertical position, pad of your foot downward (toward 6:00V).
Note
The rise of your right arm should be done such as to stay within your outer rim, but with enough path of travel to deliver the next move effectively.
Tip
If the opponent leaned forward from the initial strikes, the upward force can be used (optionally) to deliver an upward (toward 12:00V) punch to the underside of the opponent’s chin. But, don’t divert the upward line of travel to a diagonal, upward line of travel in order to achieve this strike.
2b)
Immediately, settle (toward 6:00V) into a right neutral bow (facing 12:00H) with a right downward elbow strike (toward 6:00V) to the top of the opponent’s left forearm (minor), while maintaining the pin to the opponent’s left hand.
Result
The opponent's head and upper body should be forced forward (toward 6:00H), bending at the waist.
3)
Using the forward bend of the opponent upper body, deliver a right upward elbow strike (toward 12:00V) to the underside of the opponent’s chin (major), palm facing to your left (toward 9:00V), while simultaneously rotating (counter clockwise H) into a right side horse (toward 12:00H) and maintaining the pin to the opponent’s left hand.
Result
The opponent’s head and upper body should be forced upward (toward 12:00V) and backward (toward 12:00H), but prevented from moving too much by the pin to the opponent’s hand.
4)
Rotate (clockwise H) and settle (toward 6:00V) back into a right neutral bow (facing 12:00H) with a right, hammering, downward heel-palm to the opponent’s face (major), while continuing to maintain the pin to the opponent’s left hand.
Result
The opponent should collapse downward (toward 6:00V) onto their knees.
5)
Release the pin to the opponent’s left and immediately cross out and cover (toward 6:00H).
Result
The opponent should continue to fall forward (toward 6:00H), face down (toward 6:00V).
