Situation:
You are in a natural stance (facing 12:00H) with both of your arms at your side (toward 6:00V), while the opponent (at 12:00H) (facing 6:00H) applies a left stiff arm hair grab, palm down (toward 6:00V), to your hair.
1a)
Raise your left hand (toward 12:00V), trapping the opponent's left hand to the top of your head (pinning check), palm down (toward 6:00V), as you simultaneously step back with your left foot (toward 6:00H) (gauge leg) into a left modified high close kneel (facing 12:00H) (stabilize base), while cocking your right hand (toward 12:00V) to your right ribs, fist forward (toward 12:00H), palm up (toward 12:00V), in preparation for the next move.
Result:
The opponent’s hand should be pinned to your head, preventing them from pulling your hair or releasing their hand from the hair grab.
Note:
The above step with your left foot should be executed with the intention of not changing distance between you and your opponent, so as to minimize telegraphing your next move.
1b)
Immediately, shift backward (counter-clockwise) (toward 6:00H) and settle into a right neutral bow, while simultaneously executing a right thrusting vertical middle-knuckle strike to the opponent's left arm pit area (toward 12:00H) (major), while maintaining the pin to the opponent's right hand (opposing forces).
Note:
The above moves (1a & 1b) should be executed to remove any unnecessary pauses and/or gaps in timing.
Result:
The opponent's upper body area should be pulled forward (toward 6:00H) into the vertical middle-knuckle strike, increasing its force (confluence of forces). But, the opposing forces of the pull and the strike should essentially cancel out movement in any particular direction of the opponent's upper body. Also, the force of the strike should cause the opponent to attempt to cover the left arm pit area with their right hand, and force the opponent onto their tippy toes.
2a)
Deliver a right vertical raking extended outward forearm strike (frictional pull) (minor) to the opponent's left inner forearm area (toward 4:30H), palm forward (toward 12:00H), while releasing the pin with your left hand and lowering it to your right solar plexus area (toward 6:00V) (positioned cover), palm forward (toward 12:00H) in preparation for the next move.
Note:
Your right forearm strike should not be retracted beyond the opponent's wrist area and should try to maintain contact with the opponent's left forearm as much as possible.
Result:
The opponent's hair grab should be broken and the opponent’s upper body should begin to be pulled forward and to your right (toward 4:30H).
2b)
Without any loss of momentum from the previous moves, shift forward (toward 12:00H) (clockwise) into a right forward bow, with a left thrusting straight heel palm (toward 12:00H) to the opponent's chin (minor), fingers upward (toward 12:00V).
Result:
The opponent’s upper body forward momentum should stopped by the force of your left heel palm strike (borrowed force).
3)
Shift backward (counter clockwise) (toward 6:00H) into a right neutral bow (facing 12:00H) with a right inward raking back-knuckle strike (major) to the opponent's bridge of nose (toward 11:30H), while simultaneously retracting your left hand (toward 6:00H) (toward 7:30V) to your right solar plexus area (positioned cover), palm forward (toward 12:00H).
Note:
All four of the major knuckles of your right hand (pinky through index) should make contact with the opponent's bridge of nose.
Note:
The inward raking back-knuckle strike should be allowed to continue its circular motion (counter clockwise) through the striking surface and back to a normal guard position (positioned cover) after contact.
Result:
The opponent should collapse backward (toward 11:30H) and to the ground, face down (toward 6:00V), while their hands attempt to cover their face.
Cross out and cover (toward 7:30H).
