Situation
You are in a normal stance (facing 12:00H) with both of your arms at your side (toward 6:00V) with the opponent (at 6:00H) (facing 12:00H) applying a rear two hand choke to your neck and throat area.
1a)
Shrug both your shoulders (toward 12:00V) to pin both the opponent’s hands to your neck (pinning check) with a step forward (toward 1:00H) (purposeful opposition) with your left foot into a left modified forward bow (toward 1:00H) (stable base) as you simultaneously shift (toward 12:00V) your right arm to your left side (positioned cock), palm down (toward 6:00V), in preparation for the next move.
Result
The opponent should be forced to step forward with their left foot (toward 12:00H) by the pin of your shoulders to their hands.
1b)
Immediately, rotate (clockwise H) and settle (toward 6:00V) into a right forward bow (toward 7:00H) with a right hammering outward overhead (clockwise V) elbow strike (toward 6:00V) to the top of the opponent’s right forearm area (minor). The rotation of the strike should continue past and to the inside of the opponent’s right forearm (your right side) to a right chambered position, palm up (toward 12:00V), pinning the opponent’s right arm to your right side (pinning check). Simultaneously with the settle (toward 6:00V) into a right forward bow (toward 7:00H), deliver a left thrusting straight four-finger poke (toward 7:00H) to the opponent’s eyes (minor), palm down (toward 6:00V).
Note
The rotation of your right arm should be on a 12:00V-6:00V line and pass straight over the top of your head.
Result
The opponent’s upper body and head should be forced slightly back (toward 7:00H), but be prevented from moving too much by the pin of your arm (opposing forces), with the left hand beginning to attempt to cover the face and eyes.
2)
Shift (counter clockwise H) into a right fighting horse (toward 7:00H) with a right thrusting upward (counter clockwise V) elbow strike (toward 12:00V) to the opponent’s chin (major), while simultaneously shifting (toward 6:00V) your left hand to the top of the opponent’s right forearm area (pressing check), palm down (toward 6:00V), replacing your right pinning arm.
Result
The opponent’s upper body and head should be forced upward (toward 12:00V) and back (toward 7:00H) and begin to collapse (toward 6:00V) with the right hand attempting to cover the face area, but be prevented from doing so by the press of your left hand.
Tip
Some people will need to execute a right shuffle forward (toward 12:00H) with the elbow strike to close the distance between yourself and the opponent.
3)
Without any loss of motion from the previous moves, continue the rotation of both your stance (counter clockwise H) and your arm (counter clockwise V), and settle (toward 6:00V) into a right reverse bow (toward 7:00H) with a right thrusting back hammer-fist (toward 7:00H) to the opponent’s groin area (major), while simultaneously shifting (toward 12:00V) your left hand to your right shoulder (positioned cover), palm forward (toward 7:00H).
Note
The hammer-fist should be executed on a straight line, not on a circular one. This effect can be achieved by maintaining an anchored elbow (not allowing it to pass above your shoulder level and keeping it close to the body) creating a small, tight circle, while using the elbow as the major pivot point, not the shoulder.
Result
The opponent’s lower body should be thrust back (toward 7:00H) with the opponent collapsing (toward 6:00V) to the ground (body on the 1:00H – 7:00H line), face up (toward 12:00V).
4)
Cross out and cover (toward 1:00H).
