Situation
While standing in a natural stance (facing 12:00H) with both arms at your side (towards 6:00V), the opponent (facing 6:00H) points a gun (toward 6:00H) to your head area (or upper chest area) with their right hand (palm facing 9:00V).
Note
The effectiveness of this technique is not altered if the opponent's palm is rotated downward (toward 6:00V).
1a)
Execute a left outward parry (toward 9:00H), palm facing forward (toward 12:00H), to the inside of the opponent's right wrist, while simultaneously stepping forward (toward 12:0H) with your right foot into a right forward bow (facing 12:00H) with the execution of a right, inward (toward 9:00H), horizontal four-finger slice, palm down (toward 6:00V), to opponent's eyes (minor).
Note
This maneuver should be executed such that the outward parry, the step forward (with a slight rotation - counter clockwise H), and the inward strike, all work in concert to divert the gun safely to your left (toward 9:00H).
Result
The opponent's head should be forced to rotate (clockwise H) to your left (toward 9:00H) with the opponent beginning to pull their arms backward (toward 12:00H) in an attempt to cover their eyes.
1b)
Without any loss of motion, contract the continued circular path of your right hand (counter-clockwise H) until it reaches your opponent's right hand, palm down (toward 6:00V), ending with a grab to the top of the gun, palm down (toward 6:00V), with the continued outward (toward 9:00H) pressure of your left hand to the inside (toward 3:00H) of the opponent's right wrist, while simultaneously settling (toward 6:00V) into a right modified neutral bow (facing 12:00H).
Note
The final position of your right hand should be over the handle and rear sight area of the gun, not over the barrel area of the gun. The final position of your right elbow should be anchored (toward 6:00V) and as close to your body as possible. The final position of your left elbow should be anchored (toward 6:00V) and also as close to your body as possible. This positioning allows for more complete control over the opponent's right arm, hand, and gun (almost third handed) - along with preventing the opponent from pushing with their left hand and pulling with their right hand, freeing the gun from your grasp (pass line). The final position of your stance should be such that your feet are situated in the standard neutral bow position, but the upper body remains relatively forward (toward 11:30H).
Result
Your right hand in concert with your left should achieve almost full control of the movement of the opponent's gun and right hand, thus preventing the opponent from continuing to pull the gun away and/or rotating it toward you (toward 3:00H).
2)
Rotate (clockwise H) forward into a right forward bow (facing 12:00H) with a left, thrusting, straight, four-finger thrust, palm down (toward 6:00V), to the opponent's eyes (toward 12:00H) (minor), while simultaneously maintaining the grip to the top of the gun.
Note
The above strike should engage both your left hand, your right hand, the gun, and the opponent's right hand on it's path of travel to the opponent's eyes. Executing the maneuver in this way should ensure continued control over the gun and opponent's right hand.
Result
The opponent's right arm should be forced backward (toward 12:00H), bending at the elbow, along with the rotation (clockwise V) of the gun (still in the opponent's right hand) - ending with the barrel pointing upward (toward 12:00V). Finally, the opponent's head and upper body should be forced backward (toward 12:00H), bending backward (toward 12:00H) at the waist, while the opponent continues to retract (toward 12:00H) (toward 1:00V) their left arm to cover their eyes.
3a)
Rotate your opponent's right wrist (clockwise V) with your right hand until their palm faces to your left (toward 9:00V) as you simultaneously shift your left hand into a grab to the opponent's right wrist, palm facing to your right (toward 3:00V) and fingers pointing forward (toward 12:00H), so that it assists your right hand, palm facing to your left (toward 9:00V) and fingers pointing forward (toward 12:00H).
Note
The barrel of gun should still continue to face upward (12:00V).
Result
The opponent's right wrist should now be placed into a wrist lock position, in preparation for the next move.
3b)
Immediately, step backward with your right foot (towards 6:00H) into a left forward bow (facing 12:00H) as you apply forward (toward 12:00H) and downward (toward 6:00V) pressure to opponent's right wrist.
Result: The opponent should be forced to bend forward (toward 6:00V) and to their left (toward 5:00H), at the waist, in an attempt to relieve the pressure being applied to their right wrist.
3c)
Settle (toward 6:00V) into your forward bow (facing 12:00H) with the continued downward (toward 6:00V) and forward (toward 12:00H) pressure of the wrist lock, while simultaneously allowing your right hand to shift upward (toward 12:00V) to the barrel of the gun, palm forward (toward 12:00H), in preparation for the next move.
Note
The continued pressure to opponent's right wrist should begin to force the opponent to loose their grip on the gun.
Result
The opponent should continute to attempt to relieve the pressure being applied to their right wrist by beginning to drop (toward 6:00V) onto their left knee, bent forward (toward 6:00V) (toward 5:00H) at the waist.
3d)
Immediately, execute a right, thrusting, step-through ball kick (towards 12:00H) to opponent's groin area (major) while simultaneously stripping the gun from the opponent's right hand by pulling the gun (opposing forces) backward (toward 6:00H) and downward (toward 4:30V) past your right hip (toward 3:00H). Simultaneous with the above maneuvers, allow your left hand to slide forward (toward 12:00H), up the back (toward 12:00V) of the opponent's right arm into a left downward pressing check (towards 6:00V), palm downward (toward 6:00V).
Result
The opponent's lower body should be thrust backward (toward 12:00H) while their upper body is prevented from moving very much by both the pull of your right hand and the check from your left hand.
Note: If more complete control over the positioning and movement of opponent is needed and/or wanted, you should convert your left checking hand into a left grab, palm down (toward 6:00V) and finger pointing to your right (toward 3:00H) - above (toward 12:00H) the opponent's right elbow.
3e)
Plant (toward 6:00V) your right foot forward (toward 12:00H) into a right forward bow (facing 12:00H) with a right, thrusting, upward (toward 11:00V), lifting gun barrel strike (toward 12:00H) to the bottom of opponent's chin (toward 6:00V) (major), while maintaining your left downward (toward 6:00V), pressing check to the back of the opponent's right arm.
Result
The opponent's head should be thrust upward (toward 12:00V) and backward (toward 12:00H) with their body being prevented from moving very much by the downward pressure (toward 6:00V) of your left hand.
4)
Cross out and cover (toward 6:00H) - ending in a left neutral bow position (facing 12:00H) with the gun (in your right hand) pointing at the opponent in anticipation of any continued threat.
Note
During the cover out, the gun should be re-gripped as needed to allow for firing at the opponent, if necessary. Also, one should take care not to allow any part your body to get between the gun and the opponent at any time.
Result
The opponent should collapse (toward 6:00V) to the floor (on a 10:30H - 4:30H line), face down (toward 6:00V).
