Situation
You are in a normal stance (facing 12:00H) with both of your arms at your side (toward 6:00H), while the opponent (at 12:00H) (facing 6:00H) executes a right round-house (counter clockwise H) club attack (toward 4:30H) to your left side of head, while stepping forward (toward 6:00H) with their right foot.
1)
Step forward with your right foot (toward 12:00H) into a transitory right neutral bow (facing 12:00H) (positioned cover) (stable base) with a right thrusting straight vertical punch (toward 12:00H) to the opponent's nose area (major) (borrowed force), while simultaneously delivering a left extended outward block (toward 10:30H) to the inside of the opponent's right forearm area.
Note
The left extended outward block should try to make contact with the opponent’s right arm as soon as possible on the arc of the swing, and, at most, allow the arm to make it to the 45 degree line (7:30H).
Result
The opponent's forward momentum should be halted with the head and upper body thrust back (toward 12:00H) with your left blocking arm halting the momentum of the opponent's right arm.
2)
Immediately, shift your right open hand (toward 7:30V) down the opponent’s right shoulder and upper arm (pressing and positioning check) with the settle (toward 6:00V) into a right neutral bow (toward 12:00H), while simultaneously shifting (toward 4:30H) your left fist to your right solar plexus (positioned cock), in preparation for the next move. Without any loss of motion, shift forward (clockwise H) into a right forward bow (toward 12:00H) with a left vertical thrust punch (toward 12:00H) to the opponent’s sternum area (major), while maintaining your other defenses (positioned cover).
Note
The shifting and pressing of your left hand down the opponent’s right upper body should cause the opponent to rotate (clockwise H), squaring their body (toward 6:00H) into position for the vertical punch.
The left punching arm should pass on top of the right covering arm.
Result
The opponent's body should be thrust slightly back (toward 12:00H) with the hands beginning to attempt to cover the sternum area, but the right hand is prevented from doing so by the press of your right hand (pressing check).
3)
Immediately, shift (clockwise H) back into a right neutral bow (toward 12:00H) with a right thrusting outward back-knuckle strike (toward 1:30H) to the opponent’s right ribcage area (major), simultaneously with the shift (toward 9:00H) of your left open hand on top of the opponent’s right arm, palm up (toward 12:00V), while maintaining your other defenses (positioned cover).
Note
The left elbow should remain anchored (toward 6:00H) with the final position similar to an open-handed vertical outward block (a.k.a. the waiter’s carry).
Result
The opponent's upper body should begin to bend slightly to the right (toward 8:00H) and collapse to the ground.
4)
Cross out and cover (toward 7:30H).
