Situation
You are in a (passive) kneeling stance (facing 12:00H) with both of your hands raised to shoulder height, palms forward (toward 12:00H) (positioned covers) with the opponent (at 12:00H) (facing 6:00H) executing a right, thrusting, step through, front kick (toward 6:00H) to your chest area.
1a)
Shift your right foot forward (toward 12:00H) into a right, kneeling (on your left knee), close kneel (facing 12:00H), with the lowering (toward 6:00V) of your right arm to a horizontal position in front of your chest (using your elbow as the pivot point), palm down (toward 6:00V), until just about making contact with the opponent’s kick - at which point switch the movement into a right inward anchoring elbow (toward 9:00H), palm to the left (toward 9:00V), to the opponent’s kick (using your fingers as the pivot point), while maintaining your other defenses (positioned cover).
Result
The opponent’s kick should be diverted to your left side with the opponent beginning to plant (toward 6:00V) their right foot forward (toward 7:00H).
1b)
Step-drag forward (toward 12:00H) with a right upward (toward 12:00H) (toward 11:00V) elbow, palm to your left (toward 9:00H), to the opponent’s abdomen area (minor), followed immediately by a left, thrusting upward (toward 12:00H) (toward 12:00V) heel-palm, palm up (toward 12:00V) to the opponent’s groin (minor), sandwiching their groin between your left hand and their pelvic bone.
Tip
The step-drag might be optional, depending upon how deep the opponent steps forward (toward 6:00H) in response to your blocking of their kick.
Note
The timing of the elbow should be executed as to take advantage of the opponent’s forward and downward momentum as they step forward from the blocked kick (borrowed force).
Result
The opponent’s forward momentum should be halted by the elbow and also prevented from bending forward in reaction to the heel-palm strike.
2)
Deliver a right, hammering, downward (toward 6:00V) back-knuckle (toward 12:00H), palm up (toward 12:00H) to the opponent’s groin (minor), sandwiching their groin between your left and right hands.
Tip
You may need to pull the opponent’s groin slightly toward you (toward 6:00H) in order to expose it for the back-knuckle.
Result
The opponent’s hands should begin to cover their groin area, while their upper body begins to bend forward (toward 6:00H).
3a)
Raise your left hand (toward 12:00V) to the opponent’s sternum area (pressing check), palm facing the opponent (toward 12:00H) as you simultaneously hook your right hand behind the opponent’s left leg, palm facing you (toward 6:00H), capturing their leg, in preparation for the next move.
Result
The opponent should be prevented from bending forward (toward 6:00H) by your left hand.
3b)
Immediately step through forward with your left foot (toward 12:00H) into a left neutral bow (facing 12:00H) with a left thrusting, inward, downward, diagonal elbow strike (toward 1:30H) (toward 4:30V) to the opponent's solar plexus area (minor), while simultaneously allowing your right hand to track down the left side of the opponent's left leg, stopping at the opponent’s left ankle.
Tip
Your right hand can also be used to pull the opponent’s leg upward in order to enhance the downward push of your left elbow and aid in forcing the opponent to the ground.
Result
The opponent should be forced to the ground (toward 12:00H) (toward 4:30V), face up (toward 12:00V) with your right hand grabbing their left ankle.
Note
The net effect of the above foot maneuver is a back foot to front foot switch.
4a)
Adjust the grip to the opponent’s ankle by sliding your right hand downward (toward 6:00V), placing your right heel of palm on the opponent’s left heel, palm facing upward (toward 12:00V), while simultaneously grabbing the opponent’s left instep, palm downward (toward 6:00H). Immediately step backward (toward 6:00H) with your left foot into a right reverse bow (facing 12:00H), while simultaneously using the grab to the opponent’s left foot to rotate the foot (counter clockwise V), toes downward (toward 6:00V) and heel facing you (toward 6:00H).
Result
The opponent’s body should be forced to rotate (counter clockwise V), to a face down position (toward 6:00V), with their right leg extended (toward 6:00H) to your left side.
Tip
In order to facilitate the rotation of the opponent’s body, anchor your elbows to your body and use the rotation of your stance, instead of trying to force the opponent to rotate using only the strength of your arms (third hand).
Note
The speed of your rotation can be adjusted to create more or less twisting damage to the opponent’s knee.
4b)
Step your left foot backward (toward 11:00H) into a transitory left rear twist stance (facing 12:00H) with your left foot ending between the opponent’s legs while maintaining the grab to the opponent’s foot.
Note
Your left leg should be positioned such that it checks the opponent’s right leg preventing it from moving very much in retaliation to your step.
4c)
Immediately, step your right foot backward (toward 11:00H), to the inside (toward 11:00H) of the opponent’s left leg, into a right reverse bow (facing 12:00H), while dropping both hands downward (toward 6:00V), breaking the opponent’s left knee over the back of your right leg (minor).
Result
The opponent’s left leg should be broken at the knee with the opponent laying face down (toward 6:00V) and unable to retaliate or respond effectively.
Tip
Time the downward force of your hands with the backward step of your right leg to enhance the power of the break (confluence of forces).
5)
Release the grab to the opponent’s left leg allowing it to drop (toward 6:00V) to the ground to your right side (toward 9:00H). Immediately, hop-switch your stance into a left reverse bow (facing 12:00H) with a left downward (toward 6:00V) heel stomp to the opponent’s groin area (toward 12:00H), while simultaneously shifting (toward 3:00H) both your hands to blocking positions (positional cover), palms downward (toward 6:00V), at your left side.
Result
The opponent’s groin is crushed against the ground with the opponent laying face down (toward 6:00V) and unable to retaliate or respond effectively.
6)
Cross-out and cover (toward 6:00H).
