Situation:

You are in a forward bending position facing forward (toward front) with both of your arms at your sides (toward down) while the opponent is to your left (toward left flank) and beginning to apply a right arm headlock.

1)

Turn your head (clockwise vertically) to your left (toward left flank) and tuck your chin to your left shoulder, on the inside of the opponent's right wrist, while simultaneously grabbing the opponent's right wrist with your right hand, palm up (toward up).  Simultaneously with the previous moves, step forward with your right foot (toward front) into a right wide kneel (stabilize base) facing to your left (toward left flank), such that your left knee is positioned on the outside of the opponent's right knee (positioned check), while also raising your left hand (toward up) and pinching the back-inside portion of the opponent's right knee (minor), palm pointing forward (toward front).

Elaboration:

The positioning of your left pinching hand of the previous maneuver (1) should be with your thumb on the outside of the opponent's knee area, and your four fingers on the inside back of the opponent's knee area.

Clarification:

The tuck of your chin is intended to stop the ability of the opponent from choking you.

Result:

The opponent's right leg should bend forward and down at the knee  (toward lower front) to escape the pinch, while the lock from the opponent's right arm should begin to loosen.

Explanation:

The following maneuvers (2a-c) should be executed as a single series of moves, but are illustrated independently to better call out the complexities in both timing and delivery.

2a)

Release the pinch with your left hand and circle your left arm (clockwise vertically) around the outer, right side of the opponent's body and ending on top of the opponent's right shoulder area, making contact with your forearm, palm pointing to your right (toward right flank); while continuing to maintain the grab to the opponent's right hand and your left leg begins to press against the opponent's right leg (pressing check), replacing your left hand.

2b)

Begin pressing your left forearm forward and downward (toward lower front) to the back of the opponent's right shoulder while simultaneously pulling the opponent's right arm downward and to your right (toward lower right rear flank) off of your neck area.

Elaboration:

It is essential that your right arm use the leverage created from your left forearm to aid in the clearing of the opponent's right arm from your head (opposing forces).

Result:

The opponent's upper right torso and head should begin to be forced to bend forward and down (toward lower front) with their right arm extending (toward right rear flank), elbow pointing upward (toward up).

2c)

Slide your left arm from the opponent's shoulder to their right triceps area (sliding check) (toward right rear flank) with a left step through, forward (toward front), into a left neutral bow facing forward (toward left front flank), as you force the opponent's upper body forward and down (toward lower front) with a left downward pressing forearm  (toward lower front), simultaneously with the upward and back pull (toward upper right rear flank) of the opponent's right lower arm.

Elaboration:

The pushing and pulling of both your arms of the previous maneuver (2c) is designed to create a fulcrum against the opponent's arm and body.

Result:

The opponent's upper right torso and head should be furthered force downward and forward  (toward lower front) with the right arm is hyper-extended (toward upper right flank), elbow pointing upward (up).

3)

Slide your left arm from the opponent's triceps to their right shoulder area (toward left front flank), palm pointing downward (toward down) (pressing check), as you rotate forward (counter-clockwise horizontally) into a left wide kneel facing forward (toward left front flank) with a right vertical thrusting punch (toward lower left front flank) to the opponent's right mastoid area (major).

Elaboration:

The repositioning of your left arm of the previous maneuver (3) should conclude with your left elbow across the opponent's back and your left hand across the opponent's right shoulder area (arm on a left rear flank to right front flank line) to create a cross body check.

Result:

The opponent should collapse to the ground (toward down), face down (toward down).

4)

Shift back (clockwise horizontally) and raise (toward up) into a left neutral bow facing forward (toward left front flank) as you also retract both your left and right arms (as needed) to covering positions, while continuing to maintain your other defenses (positioned cover). your right hand (toward 1:30V) to your left solar plexus (positioned check), palm forward (toward 10:30H), while maintaining your other defenses (positioned check).

Elaboration:

Simultaneously with the previous maneuver (4) you must also release the grab to the opponent's right wrist.
