Ideal Execution

Written Illustration:

Situation

You are in a normal stance (facing 12:00H) with your left arm at your side (toward 6:00H), while the opponent (at 12:00H) (facing 6:00H) applies a right hand shake to your right hand.

1)

Step forward (toward 12:00H) with your left foot into a left modified, transitory, forward bow (toward 12:00H) with a right arm jerk to the opponent's right arm forward (toward 12:00H) and diagonally downward (toward 7:30V), palm toward your left (toward 9:00V), between the opponent’s legs, delivering the equivalent to a thrusting forward (toward 12:00H) downward diagonal (toward 7:30V) inner wrist strike to the opponent’s groin (minor), while simultaneously raising (toward 12:00V) your left open hand on top of the opponent’s right wrist, palm down (toward 6:00V) – fingers to the right (toward 3:00H), to aid the right hand in the striking process.

Note

The striking surface of the inner wrist strike ends up being the back of the opponent’s wrist, not your inner wrist.

Result

The opponent's upper body should bend forward (toward 6:00H), at the waist, with the left hand beginning to attempt to cover the groin area, but the left hand prevented from doing so by the grab of your left hand.

2)

Circle (clockwise H) your left hand around and to the back of the opponent’s right leg to grab the opponent’s right wrist area, palm down (toward 4:30V).  Immediately, raise (toward 12:00V) your right hand on top of and toward the back of the opponent’s right hip area, palm down (toward 6:00V – fingers toward your left (toward 12:00H).  Without any loss of motion, step your right foot (toward 9:00H) into a transitory left forward bow (toward 3:00H) while simultaneously pushing (with the right hand) the right hip of the opponent (toward 3:00H) (toward 4:30V) and pulling (with the left hand) the right arm of the opponent (toward 9:00H) (toward 10:30V) (opposing forces), delivering a right back pressing forearm strike to the opponent’s groin area (toward 10:30V) (toward 9:00H), with the opponent’s own right forearm (minor) and simultaneously creating a right arm lock to the opponent’s right arm (toward 12:00V).

Note

Raising (toward 12:00V) your left hand against the opponent’s body will vary the amount of pressure applied to the opponent’s right elbow joint.

Result

The opponent's right foot should be forced to step forward (toward 6:00H), while the upper body should be forced further forward (toward 3:00H), bending at the waist, with the left hand continuing to attempt to cover the groin area, but prevented from doing so by their right arm.

3)

Release the grab to the opponent’s right wrist, retracting it (toward 9:00H) (toward 10:30V) to your right solar plexus (positioned cover), palm forward (toward 3:00H), with a right thrusting downward diagonal (toward 4:30V) side kick to the back of the opponent’s left knee (toward 1:30H) (positioned cover) (major), while simultaneously retracting (toward 3:00H) your right arm to a vertical blocking position (positioned cover).

Result

The opponent's left knee should be force to the ground (toward 6:00V) to a partial kneeling position (toward 3:00H).

4)

Replant your right foot forward (toward 3:00H) (gauge) into a transitory right neutral bow (toward 3:00H).  Without any loss of motion, deliver a left thrusting upward diagonal (toward 1:30V) knee kick (toward 3:00H) to the opponent’s tailbone (major), while maintaining your other defenses (positioned cover).

Result

The opponent's body should be forced up (toward 1:30V) and forward (toward 3:00H), collapsing to the ground (toward 6:00V), face down (toward 3:00H).

5)

Replant your left foot back (toward 9:00H) into a right neutral bow (toward 3:00H), while maintaining your other defenses (positioned cover).  Cross out and cover (toward 9:00H).
