Ideal Execution

Written Illustration:

Situation:

You are standing naturally, flanked by two men, opponent #1 grabbing your right shoulder from your right, opponent #2 grabbing your left shoulder from your left.

1)

Step your right foot (toward right) into a horse stance, facing opponent #1 at your right flank. As you step, pin opponent #1's left hand with your left hand, simultaneously executing a right outward handsword to his throat.

Result:

Opponent #1 should stumble back and be temporarily delayed.

2)

Immediately step your right foot (toward left front) into a right neutral bow, your left hand checking opponent #2's right hand. Without pause, pivot counter-clockwise into a left neutral bow (facing left rear), executing a left outward handsword to opponent #2's throat.

Result:

Opponent #2 should stumble back and be temporarily delayed.

3)

As opponent #1 delivers a right step-through punch toward your head, step your left foot back, counter-clockwise, (toward left front) into a right neutral bow (facing right rear). As you pivot, execute a right inward block to the inside of his right arm, your left hand positioned as a check at your solar plexus.

4)

Execute a right front snap ball kick to the groin of opponent #1.

Result:

Opponent #1 should bend forward at the waist.

5)

Plant your right foot forward, gauging the distance between both opponents. Left rear crossover and execute a right thrusting back heel kick to the solar plexus of opponent #2.

Result:

Opponent #2 should be stunned and driven away.

6)

From the contact point of your kick, execute a right front crossover (toward right front), changing your angle of departure by switching into a left neutral bow (facing rear), your left rear foot moving to the front before your right forward foot moves to the rear.

7)

Survey.

8)

With opponent #1 off balance but still standing and within range, execute a right spinning stiff-legged sweep of his right leg, finishing in a left neutral bow (facing rear).

9)

Survey.

10)

Left front crossover and cover out twice (toward left front), completing your action midway between both opponents.
