Thundering Hammers (left side)

1a)

Direct your attention 180-degrees (clockwise horizontally) to your right (toward right-flank) as you right step forward (toward right-flank) into a right neutral bow facing forward (toward right-flank) with a right, thrusting, inward block (toward right-flank), as you simultaneously drop (toward down) and close your left hand to naturally hang at your left side, palm pointing inward (toward rear) and knuckles pointing downward (toward down).

Visualization:

Direct line of sight for the left arm's next target (1b) should be maintained at the conclusion of this maneuver (1a).

Visualization:

The pattern of the arms for the following maneuver series (1b-3) should approximate a horizontally oriented figure 8 pattern, laying on its side and parallel to the left side of the body (from right-flank to left-flank); although this pattern is also relatively linear in nature.

1b)

Right push-drag forward (toward right-flank) with a left, thrusting, forward (inward) and diagonally-upward, inside forearm to rib height, palm pointing diagonally-downward (toward lower-right-flank) and knuckles pointing to the left (toward lower-right-front-flank), as you simultaneously shift (clockwise horizontally) into a right forward bow facing forward (toward right-flank) and allow your right arm to reposition upward (toward up) to right head height, palm pointing forward (toward right-flank), knuckles pointing to your left (toward front), and elbow pointing to your right (toward rear), in preparation for the next maneuver.

Elaboration:

The repositioning of your right arm should use the shoulder as the primary pivot point and the hand as the secondary pivot point.

Variation:

You may open your right hand and allow the palm to be to the left of the face, pointing to your left (toward front) and fingers pointing backward (toward left-flank).

2)

Redirect your attention 90-degrees (counter-clockwise horizontally) to your left (toward front) along with a shift of your stance 180-degrees to your left (counter-clockwise horizontally) and settle (toward down) into a left wide-kneel facing to the right (toward front) with the drop (toward down) of your right hand to deliver a right, hammering, downward, hammer-fist to abdomen height, palm pointing to the left (toward left-flank) and knuckles pointing forward (toward front), while simultaneously circling (clockwise vertically) your left arm upward (toward up) to left head height, palm pointing forward (toward front), knuckles pointing to the right (toward right-flank), and elbow pointing to the left (toward left-flank), in preparation for the next maneuver.

Visualization:

The positioning of your left arm of the previous maneuver (2) should be in the opposite positioning as the positioning of the right arm at the conclusion of the prior maneuver (1b).

Variation:

The repositioning of the left arm may pause at the bottom of its circular pattern (clockwise vertically) to become a left positional cover at your lower-left side (toward front), palm pointing toward you (toward rear) and knuckles pointing downward (toward down), in-sync with the conclusion of the maneuver's (2) strike (hammer-fist). This variation is a matter of where the practitioner wants to place emphasis; as a cover for the strike (2) or as a cocked weapon for the following maneuver (3). Regardless of choice, the pattern of the arm remains the same, it is simply a matter of syncing the timing of the arm's position through the pattern with the desired emphasis point.

3)

Shift your stance 180-degrees to your right (clockwise horizontally) and settle (toward down) into a right wide-kneel facing to the left (toward front) with the drop (toward down) of your left hand to deliver a left, hammering, downward, hammer-fist to lower chest height, palm pointing to the right (toward right-flank) and knuckles pointing forward (toward front), while simultaneously shifting (toward left-rear-flank) your right arm to a right positional cover at left hip height, palm pointing forward (toward front) and fingers pointing upward (toward up).

Clarification:

The following sequence (4a-4e) is to be executed as a flowing, uninterrupted, series of maneuvers, while also maintaining their individuality of execution within each move.

4a)

Shift your attention 45-degrees (clockwise horizontally) to the right (toward right-front-flank) as you right step-through (135-degrees) reverse (toward left-rear-flank) into a left neutral bow facing forward (toward right-front-flank) with the circle (counter-clockwise vertically) of your left hand to your right arm-pit area, palm pointing diagonally-downward (toward lower-right-front-flank) and knuckles pointing diagonally-backward (toward upper-left-rear-flank), in preparation for the next maneuver; while also maintaining the same general relative spatial positioning and orientation of your right hand as a positional cover (now at your left side).

Visualization:

At the conclusion of the previous maneuver (4a), the position of the left hand should be relatively under and to the inside of the right arm, under the shoulder area at the joint (arm-pit).

4b)

Settle (toward down) into your left neutral bow with the continued circle (counter-clockwise vertically) of your left hand, to deliver a left, hammering, downward, back-knuckle to abdomen height, palm pointing upward (toward up) and knuckles pointing forward (toward right-front-flank); while continuing to maintain the same positional cover of your right hand.

5a)

Continue the circular pattern (counter-clockwise vertically) of your left hand downward (toward down) to your left side, on the outside (toward left-rear-flank) of your left hip, palm pointing forward (toward right-front-flank) and knuckles pointing downward (toward down), in preparation for the next maneuver; while continuing to maintain the same positional cover of your right hand.

Variation:

Along with the rotation (counter-clockwise vertically) of your left arm of the previous maneuver (5a) you may also rotate (counter-clockwise horizontally) your upper body into forward bow positioning, to aid in the delivery of both the prior strike (4b) and the following strike (5b).

5b)

Reverse the rotation (counter-clockwise vertically) of your left arm (counter-clockwise vertically) to deliver a left, thrusting, rising (toward up), upward, heel-palm claw to hip height, palm pointing upward (toward up) and fingers pointing forward (toward right-front-flank), while simultaneously colliding with the palm of your right hand, which now points downward (toward down).

Variation:

If you rotated into the upper body forward bow positioning with the prior maneuver (4b/5a), unwind (clockwise horizontally) back into neutral bow body positioning, or optionally continue to rotate into fighting horse body positioning, depending upon desired emphasis of the strike (5b).

Variation:

Along with the previous maneuver (5b), one may also left push-drag forward (toward right-front-flank) in-sync with the delivery of the left heel-palm claw.

Elaboration:

The collision of your left forearm and right hand of the previous maneuver (5b) should be timed to occur at the end of the striking contact of the maneuver and not impede on its effectiveness. Rather, the intention of this maneuver is to borrow some of the residual force (borrowed force) of the strike (rebounding) to improve the efficiency of the following technique.
