The Kenpo Kards was the first project created by EPAKS, Inc. In fact, EPAKS, Inc. was founded because of this project. It proved that there was still much that was left to do in the area of education and advancement in American Kenpo.
The Kenpo Kard project started as an idea of a physical set of cards that a practitioner could use during training to not only workout to, but could also be used to help the practitioner understand the foundational structure of the system and the self-defense techniques. Since this was a daunting task, the project was divided up into three (3) deks - lower techniques, intermediate techniques, and advanced techniques. Later the forms were added as a fourth dek.
Also, with this project a guide book was created to not only help the practitioner use the kards, but also to help in understanding their structure as it applies to the system. The book is sold with the complete set of Kenpo Kards and as a standalone book.
Also, as mobile phones began to become more popular and ubiquitous, a digital version was added to the mix. The digital version made it much easier to use the Kenpo Kards and uncover some of the use cases illustrated in the book without having to physically sort the kards.
