This variation is generally considered non-destructive.
This variation changes the rate at which a specific maneuver, an individual self-defense technique, or the entire form as a whole is executed. Generally speaking, the pace of a form should be set at the beginning of the form and maintained throughout the entire form. A non-consistent or greatly varying pace is generally not considered proper form execution.
The reason this variation is considered non-destructive is because, generally speaking, no specific information is changed within the form. Rather the perceived speed and energy utilized during form execution is affected.
