Explanation: |
The following maneuver sequence (1a-b) may be interpreted as a single maneuver, but is illustrated as independent maneuvers for clarification and elaboration purposes. |
1a) |
Drop (toward down) onto your left knee into a right, modified, close-kneel facing forward (toward rear), as you simultaneously execute a right, hammering, downward, outside forearm (toward rear) to upper chest height, palm pointing downward (toward down) and knuckles pointing to the left (toward right flank), with the shift (toward down) of your left hand to a positional cover at your right upper stomach area, palm pointing forward (toward rear) and fingers pointing upward (toward up), in preparation for the next maneuver (1c). |
Clarification: |
The close-kneel stance of the previous maneuver (1a) is called modified because it is an extreme version of the stance where the knee is actually on the ground, rather than above it. Furthermore, this stance could also be referred to as a right (close) kneeling stance. |
1b) |
Without any loss of momentum of your right arm, execute a right, hammering, anchoring, inward block (toward rear) to chest height, while simultaneously maintaining the same spatial orientation and positioning of your left hand. |
Elaboration: |
The previous maneuver (1b) uses the knuckles as the primary pivot point with the lower forearm region intended as the major potential contact point. |
Visualization: |
The following upper body maneuver sequence (1c-2) approximates an overlapping vertical figure 8 in front of and perpendicular to the body. |
1c) |
Right step-drag forward (toward rear) with a right, thrusting, upward, elbow (toward rear) to face height, followed immediately by a left, thrusting, upward, heel-palm to lower chest height, palm pointing upward (toward up) and finger pointing forward (toward rear). |
Elaboration: |
The timing of the previous maneuver (1b) should begin with the elbow starting in-sync with the initiation of the foot maneuver; and finish with the heel-palm stopping in-sync with the foot maneuver's conclusion. |
Visualization: |
The right arm and left hand of the previous maneuver (1c) both begin to travel on the figure 8 (clockwise vertically). |
2) |
Immediately, reverse (counter-clockwise vertically) the path of the right hand to execute a right, hammering, downward, back-knuckle into the palm of the left hand, which remains in its same relative spatial positioning. |
Visualization: |
The travel of the right arm of the previous maneuver (2) creates the overlapping portion of the figure 8 (counter-clockwise vertically). |
