Situation: |
You are standing naturally with the opponent (to your front) executing a left punch followed by a right front punch. |
1) |
Step your left foot back (toward rear) into a right neutral bow (facing forward), while your right hand executes a looping figure-eight pattern that follows a path, not a line. Begin with a right inward handsword parry to the outside and top of the opponent's left arm, striking diagonally down and to your left. Without losing continuity, flow into a right extended outward handsword to the outside of the opponent's right arm, striking diagonally down and to your right, crisscrossing to keep his height and width zones in check, your left hand checking at your solar plexus. |
2) |
Just before your right hand completes the second block, grab the opponent's right wrist, starting at the arm and working down to the wrist. Immediately push-drag forward, pivot into a right forward bow, and deliver a left vertical punch to the opponent's face while pulling his right arm diagonally down and past your right hip, your forward momentum and hand pull contributing to borrowed force. |
Result: |
The opponent's forward momentum should stop. |
3) |
Pivot in place into a right neutral bow, delivering a right thrusting inward handsword to the left side of the opponent's jugular vein, your left hand converting into a positional check against his right arm. |
Result: |
The opponent's head should be forced back. |
4) |
With the opponent dazed, execute a left rear crossover and step your right foot out (toward right front) into a right reverse bow, buckling the inside of his left knee. Simultaneously deliver a right downward hammer-fist to his groin, your left hand checking over your right shoulder. |
Result: |
The opponent should bend forward at the waist. |
5) |
From your right reverse bow, pivot clockwise in place into a right front rotating twist stance (facing forward). As you pivot, deliver a right raking vertical outward back-knuckle strike to the right side of the opponent's face. In the same torquing action, follow up with a left thrusting heel-palm strike to his sternum along with a left knee kick to his groin, employing threading. At the conclusion, cock your right hand alongside your right ear, fist clenched, palm facing out. |
Result: |
The opponent should be slightly bent forward and temporarily frozen in place. |
6) |
Plant your left foot back (toward rear) into a right neutral bow (facing forward), delivering a right inward downward hammer-fist to the opponent's left collarbone, a grafted strike combining thrusting and hammering methods, your left hand checking near your solar plexus. |
Result: |
The force of your strike should drive the opponent down and back. |
7) |
Immediately execute a left rear crossover and a right back thrusting heel kick to the opponent's solar plexus. |
Result: |
The opponent should be driven back and dropped to the ground. |
8) |
Execute a right front crossover from the last position of your right kick and cover out twice (toward rear). |
