History |
•Created in the early 1970's as part of an introductory course. |
•Officially added to the system with the introduction of the IKKA Accumulative Journal Version 1.0 (Copyright 1972). |
Additional Information |
•Created from a similar technique called the inward defense, which placed the kick as the final strike, instead of the handsword. But, it was found that the novice practitioner had a tendency to withdraw his body weight after the handsword, breaking a principle of motion. Therefore, the technique was rearranged to place the handsword last. Thus it's name. |
•The opening defense for this technique is one of the Master Key Moves of the kenpo system. |
