Situation:

You are in a normal stance (facing forward) with both of your arms at your side (toward down) while the opponent (toward front) facing you (toward rear) executes a right step-thru forward (toward rear) with a right overhead club attack (toward rear) to your head area.

1a)

Step to your right with your right foot (toward right flank) then immediately draw your left foot to your right (toward right flank) into a transitory left 45° cat stance (left front flank) while simultaneously raising your arms upward (toward up); left into a vertical extended outward blocking position (positioned check) and right to your left solar plexus area (positioned check), palm pointing forward (toward left front flank).

Clarification:

The cat stance of the previous maneuver (1a) is called transitory because it is not held for any real length of time and is only a transition into the following maneuver (1b).

Elaboration:

The foot maneuver of the previous maneuver (1a) is a step-drag off the line of attack (lower body) along with the maneuvering the upper body into a guard positon.

Visualization:

he motions of the previous maneuver (1a) should move the entire body out of the line of attack and into a defensive position facing the opponent's (vertical) center-line, thus allowing the club to safely pass to the left (toward left flank) and creating a ghost image.

1b)

Immediately execute a left snapping front kick (toward left front flank) to the opponent's groin (major), while continuing to maintain your other defenses (positioned cover).

Result:

The opponent's lower body should be forced backward (toward left front flank) with their upper body beginning to bend forward (toward right rear flank) and their left hand beginning to attempt to cover the groin area.

2)

Rotate your body (counter-clockwise horizontally) concluding with the replant of your left foot (guage) into a left front twist stance facing forward (toward left front flank) while using the rotation of your body to cock your right arm to your left side in preparation for the next maneuver (3), and continuing to maintain your left defensive positioning (positioned cover).

Elaboration:

The left arm of the previous maneuver (2) employs the concept of body fusion to cock the right arm (e.g. it uses the rotation of the body to reposition), while the left hand simultaneously employs the concept of fixed spacial positioning to maintain the cover (e.g. it maintains the same relative position in space in isolation to the other body and foot maneuvers).

Clarifiation:

The following maneuvers (3a-3b), although illustrated individually, should be executed as a single flow of action.

3a)

Execute a right thrusting side kick (a.k.a. knife edge) (toward left front flank) to the opponent's right knee (major).

Result:

The opponent's left leg should be forced backward (toward left front flank) as they begin to collapse (toward down) from the lack of support, while the upper body continues to further bend forward (toward right rear flank).

3b)

Replant your right foot (toward down) (gauge) into a right neutral bow facing forward (toward left front flank) (stabilize base) with a right outward snapping back-knuckle to the opponent's right temple area (toward left front flank) (major), while simultaneously lowering your left hand (toward down) to your right solar plexus area, palm pointing forward (toward left front flank) (positioned cover).

Result:

The opponent should collapse to the ground (toward down), face down (toward down).

6)

Retract your right arm (as needed) to a covering position while continuing to maintain your other defenses (positioned cover).
