SGM Parker often used the refrain: "the ultimate aim of Kenpo is to round of corners and elongate circles". This saying is a simple way of explaining an implementation of Economy of Motion.
Rounding the Corner can be simply explained by illustrating that two (2) motions of differing directions can be combined together into a single continuous motion by converting the sharp corner between them into a rounded corner - thus creating a singular motion out of two (2) different motions. |
